This Kiss....

Friday night was quite a turning point in my relationship with Mr. B. You know why? We kissed. Was it our first kiss? Nope. Second? Nuh hunh. As much as I have saved and kept from our relationship, I have not kept a running total of kisses. But because of the situation(Gert being there), kissing and talking softly were all we could do Friday night...

I kissed his lips.
He kissed mine.
I kissed his tears.
He kissed my neck.
I kissed his fingers.
He kissed my hands.
I kissed his heart.
He kissed my soul.

What is it about a kiss?

What is it that makes your insides skip and turn when a kiss is anticipated?

Why does a kiss feel so safe, and yet so dangerous?

Why do kisses become commonplace?

Why does a kiss have the power to heal?

Why does a kiss bring two hearts that were miles apart, instantly together?

Why do people stop kissing?

When we've kissed the same person for years, why do the sparks go away?

Why don't they for some people?

How do you keep that excitement?

Does a kiss of true love feel different?

How did Mr. B walk into that hotel room the love of my life, and a couple hours later walk back out, my soul-mate and the one I want to be with forever? All because of a kiss.

Who needs a romance novel when they have your blog to read?

I'm with ya. I totally agree with the Pretty Woman rule: kissing to me is much more intimate.

I'm trying to teach my 3 year old son that kisses on the mouth are "married" kisses. Too many Disney movies I guess.

Isn't it amazing how a kiss can change everything? I love that line from Pretty Woman about how she doesn't kiss because it's too personal. She hit the nail on the head with that one.

BETH (yeah, I said it)--this is EXACTLY why you need to be reading Twilight. It's you and Mr. B, except as teenagers. FOR REAL, girl. Go get it. Start reading. Further fuel your passion and delight.

So excited for your SITS day. You deserve every ounce of fame, my dear.

I wonder the same thing. I love kisses, but it seems like they are hard to come by. Somehow it seems like once there are other...er...activities kisses get left by the wayside :(

Way to go SITSta. I love the thoughts you brought me to about kisses. After almost 17 years with my hubby we don't kiss nearly enough. Though we have recently discoverd that it grossed out our older boys so when we want to embarass them or put them in thier place we will kiss. It is way fun.

Oh....I wish I knew an exact formula to tell you how to hold on to the spark. While I don't have that, I can tell you that it most definitely CAN and DOES last and that spark and those butterflies in your stomach can still be as strong 23+ years later as they were that very, very first kiss years ago. We've been married 20 years now and we both still get those feelings and it is so blessedly wonderful!!! It can happen, and no I don't feel like we've 'worked' to make it happen, it just 'is'. I hope 23+ years from now you're posting much the same thing to someone else telling them that love can and does stay strong :) ((((HUGS))))

Kissing is.... A-MAZING.
There's no other word for it. I crave kisses more than I crave sex, that's how much I love kisses :)

Congrats on being so Saucy!

WOW. That was beautiful. I just read a post today about married couples having sex all the time but the question should really be, how often do couples kiss. That is true intimacy.
