I blogged once before about the word verification that some people have on their blogs.
But this I don't get.
There's always a jumble of letters, and obviously the key is to type them into the box correctly.
Well, if you finger fart, and mess up, this is the message you get:
(first there's a yellow DANGER sign) Enter the letters as they are shown in the image.
How dumb do they think people are?? Is there someone who's just popped themselves on the forehead in "I-shudda-had-a-v8-fashion" going "OH.. as shown in the IMAGE... not just placed randomly in the box at my whim. NOW I get it."
(FYI - I'm not ragging on having the word verification thing - if you have it and want it more power to you, I'm "ragging" on blogger for the wording of their warning and such.... nuthin' but love for all you ladies (and you few gentlemen too - but just like friend love... cause of Mr. B and all)

Sometimes even when you type them correctly they don't go through....
HAHA! That would be kind of fun though... in a "I just make my own rules" kind of way.

I did a post about it too awhile ago. (I am not a Robot and Neither are My Friends) I removed the word verificaton from my blog a couple of months ago and haven't had any trouble.
So if any of you are considering taking it off of your blog...I say "Go for it!" If robots start invading your blog you can always put it back on.
I hate those things! I need to find out how to remove mine, if I have one, which i'm sure I probably do!
And sometimes, the words are so jumbled, they are hard to read. Then, the next chance is "here is something easier stupid"...you know like CAT.
I agree with you! I dont really understand what the purpose of word verification is anyway... maybe I'm just dumb! lol
Ooooo...I hate those too. I ALWAYS mess them up.
Hate 'em. I have friends who won't comment on blogs that require them...I'm not that kind of hater. I love all my peeps--even the verifying ones. I just hate all those goofy letters.
And this one time, at band camp...my word to verify was "cummtoyous." VULGAR much?
I goofed up on them this morning! Typed "m" instead of "n"
My beef is when they have 2 letters thisclose and you can't tell what they are!
I recently removed it from my blog. I realized I wasn't much of a fan of it when visiting other blogs. Plus, I LOVE me some comment love so anything to make it easier on all of ya!
Yep, I removed this from my blog a few months ago too.....and so far no problems.
oh i am sooo with you on this one....it is SO flippin annoying!!!

And that is why I disabled the stupid thing. I HATE WORD VERIFICATION!
Thank god for people like you and me who let people do things the easy way!! ha ha
I wanted to post a "gripe" about that. I would rather delete spam then make comments go thru that horrid process that sometimes takes me 5 trys, cause I can't read the letters half the time!
Okay, I almost peed myself laughing at 'Finger Fart' .. love it!
As for captcha's .. I cannot, for the life of me, read them. They make me feel like I'm back in .. well, I guess since I've been reading since I was 4, they make me feel like I'm 3 .. even though I don't remember what they felt like. Long comment short, yes I understand your frustration with captcha's .. lol
