Background - Going to see Mr. B on Wednesday. We're going to make dinner together Thursday night and we have this little joke about Donna Reed/1950's/etc and so even though I'm trying to WIN an apron, I kinda got this idea to MAKE one before I go.
So... there's no JoAnn Fabric around here (what up wit DAT???) and I had my one hour lunch to accomplish the purchase of fabric and pattern. So... I... I.... I.... went to Wal-M*rt. I know I KNOW I KNOW!!! What the HELL was I thinking. But surely... just a pattern and some material... that shouldn't cause trouble, right? I even went in telling myself that they may not have what I wanted.
How right I was. THEY DON'T FREAKIN SELL FABRIC ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT??? WHAT????????????
AND THEN....
I'm leaving Wal-M*rt and Mr. B calls. Of course my blood pressure is like 350 over 300 now, and he can tell I'm annoyed, but I didn't want him to know WHY because the apron was to be a surprise. So I merely said "Wal-M*rt SUCKS and I'm never going there again." And of course he asked why, so I tried to explain without giving anything away. I ranted, he listen, and then said "I'm sorry Wal-M*rt got rid of their fabric".... He's too damn smart for his or my own good. Booger.
AND THE BAD THING IS - I can't get to a TARG*T to get my blood pressure back down until AFTER work.
Maybe I should check out their website... maybe that would help.
I can't believe I went to Wal-M*rt... I need a shower. I feel dirty.

Awwww I'm sorry that happened! My Walmart still sells fabric, so I wonder why some of them stopped!

We're soul mates, because I was thinking of making that apron too! Although I did not have the most excellent idea of making it as bedroom attire...and I'm really sad that my mind doesn't even bother to go there anymore. What is wrong with me?!?!
About the fabric, yeah, Wal-Mart bites. I don't think anyplace but JoAnn's sells fabric anymore.
Where I live, we have no Walmart, no Target, nothing but an old and dirty K-Mart. I'm not sure anywhere here even sells fabric.
Our walmarts do not sell fabric here anymore at all. The only place here for fabric is Jo Anns I am pretty sure. We had Hancock fabric but it just went out of business. YOU poor poor thing! NOW was that apron to COOK or COOK with???? Just wondering! LOL LOL
Our Wal-Fart still sells fabric but not a big selection. Our Target doesn't sell fabric at all, yours does?
Here in the country we can still buy fabric at Walmart. And I gotta say, I do hate that place but I'm glad they are clinging to this kind of tradition. I remember going to fabric and notion stores as a child and you just don't find these kind of places anymore. Sad...
But I digress...

My WM still sells fabric. Is yours a "regular" WM or a Supercenter? Not that is matters, all WM are the entrance to hell....
