I have been shopping at Target since I was a toddler. I remember very vividly going to the Target in Burnsville, MN, going to the little kids section and using helpful tags with colorful animals to pick out FINE Garanimals outfits. Target outfitted me for the first day of school from Kindergarten to my 2nd Senior Year of college. Target has helped me select the perfect presents for friends and family. Target has provided years of retail therapy. Target has been a haven on a rainy day and a wonderful friend in a pinch. Both of my girls knew the Bullseye meant Target long before many other words they knew. Target cheers me when I'm sad, calms me when I'm angry, and shares in my triumphs. I literally walk into Target and my blood pressure goes down. Target is home. Target, thereby, is the perfect man. (No offense Mr. B... he knows of my love for Target. He even suggested our second date consist of wandering around Target... yeah... it's love).
Just for some fun - just check out this site -it's the History of Target! Click on "it starts here" and then if you click on the community tab and then the 1900-1950's tab - see the building that comes up? That the building I worked in when I was a professional gift-wrapper. Target was originally opened by the Dayton corporation, and I worked for Daytons. Eventually Target became the major corporation and they sold Daytons to Macy's (yuck - their one and only Bad Move).
I once went on a weekend road trip JUST to go to a Super Target.....

SO - all this is to say that SITS is having a 6 weeks of summer give-away- each week is something new! And this weeks prize is $100 at TARGET!!!! Oh my HEAVENS!!! What I could do with THAT??? I could get the girls all set for school! I could get back-packs and supplies and if I was carefully probably new shoes for both!!!! Oh my goodness... okay... okay... I need to calm down... deep breaths.... in.... out.....

I am heading there now to check out the history of Target. I swear I had no idea they had been around as long as that! WOW...I thought I knew everything, hmmmmfffff
I guess I just assumed that when we finally got one here, within the past 10 years I think, that, of course, we were the first ones, HAHAHAHA Of course I know that isn't the case, but wow...I just didn't know that my favorite store in the whole wide world is older than I imagined!
I have so much time on my hands during the school year, my kids go to a school that is a 30-40 minute drive, so somedays I don't even go home, gas prices suck...I'm sure you didnt' realize that tho, LOL Anyway, I walk around Target...checking out their clearance stuff...I've got a system going;) LOL

I have a long-standing love affair with Target. And now I'm jealous that you literally grew up with its fabulousness.
BUT...the mainest thing...you love "Space Camp." I love "Space Camp." Have it memorized, even. We are soooooooooooo BFFs.
