I ran some errands at lunch today. Tomorrow is Gert's last day at her daycare, and I'm looking for something to give her day-care-mom. Any ideas????? I can't spend a lot - $20 or so. So if you have any great ideas, I'd love it.
So, Mr. B called while I was out and about, and kind of out of the blue he said that he had read a post on a board we're both on, and it reminded him of me, and us. Basically the gist of it was this lady asks her husband every day what she can do to help him, and in doing so help her become a better wife. Quite often I have asked Mr. B if there is anything I can do for him, and he always says "just love me" which is sweet, but I already do it, and he does so much for me, I just want to be able to do the same for him. He said that reading that made him realize that when he says there's nothing I can do, or just tells me to "love him", that he's taking away my chance to feel joy and fulfillment from being able to help him. He said that he takes such joy in doing things to help me, and he realized that I am the same way. He apologized several times, and you know, it just showed me once again what a treasure I have in him. My soon-to-be-ex would never apologize, for anything, and certainly not for something like THAT. So, just in case you haven't figured it out, I'm totally in love with Mr. B, and I can't express enough how thankful I am to have him in my life.

I'm impressed with him everytime you talk about it! It sounds like he is a very caring person and you should hang on to him!!!
I'm lucky like you are too! Hang on tight! There aren't many of ours out there.
What a great guy! Definitely a keeper. :-)
Thats soo sweet and def. a keeper. Most guys wouldn't say that or atleast admit it. Awesome moment.
OK, I am subscribing to your blog. I have seen your comments everywhere, and this looks like a blog I could come to love. Awww. Anyway, I will be back later to prowl around all up in your business....heehee! :)
I totally know what you mean. In my "ideal" relationship, my SO and I would both take on the roles of Lover and Beloved equally and appropriately. I think it is rather easy to fall into one or the other, though, and then you end up with a scenario like you explained where someone gets gypped.
Awww, he is definitely a keeper!! I'm so completely thrilled that you've found someone like him, B. I really, really am. You so deserve a real love.
Can we come to the wedding?
OK....everytime I pop by your blog you are gushing about Mr. B...and I just have one question....does he have a brother?
What a sweetie-pie. Just the fact that he took note of this concept speaks VOLUMES!
p.s. When I was teaching preschool, one of my favorite gifts (other than the homemade ones, or the pics with the kids) was a gift card to the video store. I didn't even know video stores DID gift cards!! All of the moms knew just how much I love movies, so it was perfect.
Wow!! He sure sounds like a keeper, thats for sure. Those kind of men are few and far between... I am always amazed when I witness people finding the person that they were meant to be with. When I met my Mike it knocked me off my feet... I had never had anyone like him in my life, ever. It's a HUGE blessing. I'm so happy for you!!!!!!!!!
That's nice. I used to leave a note on the counter for my wife every morning before I left for work wishing her a great day, thanking for a nice night and telling her I love her. I wonder if she misses getting those notes as much as I miss leaving them.
Thanks for your comments about Favre's 'Stay Home' pay. I think I'll add a Z and a Q with no U to my name and see if that helps.
That is soooooo sweet!!!
