The Ladies - Halloween Edition

Essie's first Halloween... yes, she was a duck

The Halloween she was one she was sick... no pics.

First Grandma Made costume - the Cheerleader. Somewhere I have better pics but... this will have to do for now.

Another gap - the next year she was an Amphibian, and I've spent the last 2 hours looking for the picture which I know I JUST saw, but I can't put my hands on it..... when I do.... you'll see it.

Then came Monkestrap from CATS:
Which of course was accompanied by her sister the mouse, on her first Halloween. She didn't like the costume though....

And she didn't like it the following year any better. She was scared of the tail:

So instead she was Jessie the Cowgirl - and her Essie was Ariel:

The following year the girls BOTH wanted to be Shamu... someone asked if they were trout....

Then came the start of Gert's Princess run... Essie joined her this year:

Last year Essie was a Koala and Gert was Jasmine:

Stay tuned for pictures from this years Royalty Fest....
(and just FYI - all costumes - other than the first duck, were made by my Julie)

Don't worry, little mouse. I'm scared of my tail, too. It gets better...

There is only one thing missing... the pics of you in your costume!

I love all the pictures!
I am such a bad mom that before cameras went digital I never took pictures.
It's a good thing Wyatt has been a Power Ranger every year so I can recall the costumes, but I can't remember any of Wens :(

Quite the talented seamstress. I am envious of the mouse and Shamu costumes. I LOVE KILLER WHALES and Shamu! Need that pattern. I think I would have been scared of my tail too if I were a mouse. Why does that thing follow me everywhere? CREEPY!

I am so mad that someone thought your bit of preciousness (look at how I make up words!) was a trout. When she is clearly Shamu.

Stupid people.

Loved the pics. I love your ladies...they make me smile.

A trout? Really? Today I went and had lunch with Madalyn at school. All the second grade teachers dressed up like characters from Charlotte's Web. One was a sheep, one Templeton, one Wilbur, one Charlotte, and another Fern.

One of the mom's didn't get it. She had no idea who Fern was. And couldn't remember much of the story. She'd probably think your kids were trout, too.

A trout? Was it a weird redneck guy sitting on his porch with a Wal-Mart bag of candy tossed on the front steps, downing cans of Bud and wearing a red and black checked flannel? Oh, nevermind....I forgot you don't live in my neighborhood...

Happy Halloween!

The Shamu trout costumes made me chuckle. Your Julie has some talent in her little fingers. I think Jessie the cowgirl was the cutest.
