My brain is fried...
I've turned off the sound of Fox News at work. I don't want to hear anything, from anyone. I'm tired of the same speeches and the same holier-than-thou and the same he-said-he-said-he-said-she-said crap.
The Ladies are going to be Angels in our church's production of "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever"... yeah... I'm TOTALLY excited.
Do you watch The Biggest Loser? Vicky needs to go and she needs to go now. I want to smack her royal smugness.
How about Dancing With the Stars?
Anyone watching Mad Men? I got a little lost last week...
Why does it take 5+ days for a piece of mail to get from North Carolina to Georgia??
Is there anything better than a 5-year-old & 9-year-old who still want to snuggle with you on the couch?
Should I be glad that the threat of NOT going to church makes The Ladies do what I want them to do?
Where do I buy clothes for a little girl who doesn't fit little girls clothes anymore, but doesn't yet have hips, but has a belly..?
Is this red nail polish TOO red?? (Sorry - use your imagination... I don't have pictures)
Should I take a nap for the rest of my lunch hour?

Um... I haven't a clue. Red nail polish? Really? You are such a Diva.
Stll no clue about all the other stuff. Let me know when you find the answers.
The Best Christmas Pageant Ever ROCKS! Love, love, LOVED that when I was a kid! I wish our current church had enough kids to do a pageant like that. I've written the pageants for the past 4 years to accommodate our 11 kids (10 girls) in 8th grade and under. :P That'd be just one reason we're shopping for a new church.....
Don't watch BL, DWtS or MM.
I don't know about mail down there, but it has been over a week since someone mailed me a check from the next 'burb over - like 5 minutes from my house - and it still hasn't arrived. The check is in the mail, yeah, yeah, I know...
There is nothing better than kids who want to snuggle with their mama! Not even snuggling with George Clooney tops that one! :)
Yes, you should - the same threat works in our household, and I love it!
How about one of those tween-y places like Limited, Too? Or, if that's too trendy for you/her (I've yet to buy a single thing in there for my own kiddo), how about Old Navy or Target - stores that have the same sort of clothes, style-wise, in many different sizes?
I think red nail polish can never be too red, unless it is on a child under the age of, say, 16. Then, yes, it would be too red.
Yes, I hope you have napped, as I direly need a nap and am not going to be getting one myself. I shall nap vicariously through you - don't let me down! :D
Cheers!
Agreed...Vicki must go but Heba is def a close 2nd!!
Heba~Hebea~Heba! *said in Fat Albert's Hey, hey , hey! voice*
Past the kid's clothes? Move on to Aeropostale! They carry zeros on up, and seriously, how AWESOME would it be to wear a zero or a two rather than a kid's 16?!?! XS and zeros are so much better on the psyche. They have good sales, too, and pretty pastel colors.
I'm totally goofing off at work too. And I have zip to blog about. So sad.
I am voting today...and turning off the news!!! I am sick of it!
I love cuddling with my grandkids... I don't have little ones anymore!
Oh... a nap sounds lovely!
I'm in the same boat as you with the kid clothes. Well, sorta. I have a boy. And well, he's only 5, but he is in between the baby clothes section and the big boy section. He's also a beanpole, so all his pants fall off of him, and he hates buckling belts, he would rather let his pants fall down to his ankles. I wonder if he would get made fun of if he wore suspenders??
No.
No.
No.
Because snails take it there.
Yes, 5 yr old, 9 yr old and puppy.
YES.
Target.
Nope. Never too red.
You betcha!
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Target DOES have awesome pants to fit those odd sized. Believe me, my oldest, oh heck my youngest too, needed those adjustable waist band pants. They are awesome :D
I started watching the news this morning and had to turn it. I swear they are all on repeat!
I can't wait until you can tell us all about the play!! How exciting is that!?
I don't watch any of the shows you mentioned which is odd considering I am a tv freak.
Nothing is TOO anything as long as it's on your toes.
My girl has hips and a belly and we get her clothes at JCP. They have cute looking stuff!
My 15 year old still snuggles with me and I LOVE it!!
Why do they call it a lunch break if you are going to review the barrage of thoughts rolling around in your head?
That sounds like work to me!
I love the Best Christmas Pageant Ever! But I don't watch any of those shows--I don't get much time to watch TV--I'd rather spend it reading blogs.
Yes, you should be glad that they love church. I know I am (but my kids are still little).
I can't help you on the clothes thing, but I bet the red nail polish is NOT too red for you.
Ahhh...now your gmail quote makes sense. My mom loves Mad men. But...I don't watch any of those shows.
Snuggling is always good.
Ummm...Target? What stores have those half sizes? Would that work? And someone mentioned Aeropostale - and another mom was telling me today that she had to buy jeans for her daughter there - same reason as you.
I like dark nail polish - that purply red - not bright red. But that is for my nails.
And let me know if you can figure out a way for me to get a lunch break :-)
When you find the answer to your 9 year old's clothing issues will you help me find one for my own? I'm a hot pink gal myself but who doesn't love RED? I'm thinking your lunch is long over by now but maybe you can sneak in an afternoon Siesta.
Nope, your nail polish is definitely NOT red enough. :o)
Love snuggling.
Don't watch Biggest Loser but anyone who's smug needs to go, I agree.
Wow!! You are all over the map today!! One of those days?
Lizzy You ROCK!
Red says WOW and you are definitely WOW!
Cloris Leachman has got to GO, GO, GOOOOO!
Lizzy for President! Need we say more?
I'm right there with you...election day could not get here sooner..I am so tired of the phonecalls, commercials and radio spots..enough already! I absolutley LOVE the "Best Christmas Pageant ever"...are either of then going to be Imogene? I love Imogene! Yes, the only thing better then a 5 year old and 9 year old that want to still snuggle is a 6 year old and 9 year old that do that too! :) The clothes thing...have you tried Old Navy? Or Target? I usually have good luck there. The red looks awesome oh and yes to the nap...naps are alwasy good! :)
It's me, it's me!!!! I've come out of the witness protection program.
I can't take much more of this political garbage. After voting tomorrow, I'm blocking all news outlets from my tv and radio.
Yes, Vicky is a be-yotch and must exit stage left IMMEDIATELY. And take that heifer Heba with her.
If you ever figure out the USPS, please let me know. I'm not a big fan.
I sure hope my girls are still snugglers at those ages.
And I always vote for naptime.
That was alot of "not much".
Can I just tell you that I once played Imogene Herdman in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever? That is my favorite Christmas story ever. Well actually THE Christmas story is my favorite so that is my second favorite Christmas story ever.
