It's Time to Celebrate

It's my 164th post!!!!! I know people like to do things for 100 & 200 and such but would you REALLY expect me to follow the crowd like that? I think not.

Now... I won't be doing a giveaway for my special blog. I'm really bad at getting things in the mail.

So... I'm going to do "the list"... 164 things about... Moi. (Deep Breath)

  1. My mom's due date was January 1, 1972.

  2. My birthday is February 5, 1972.

  3. I have no full siblings.

  4. #1 & #2 may explain why.

  12. The hospital I was born in has been torn down.

Guuurl, I'm a ten month baby too! And, to top it off, my mom was convinced I was never coming out, she was in the French Quarter in NO having wine and cheese the night she went into labor! Ya know, cuz back then, moderation, baby.

Get your butt to the library/bookstore for your copy of Twilight.

Check out the local High School for musicals. They are actually usually really pretty decently good.

I read the whole thing. I usually don't when I see people do posts like this but you, my dear, are a very interesting person. I would love to sit down with you some day an head your whole story. I would never get board.

I will be honest, I read most of them but not all of them. (Time constraints with a napping 2 year and all.) Polar dipping. YAHOO & BURR! We have some similarities from our childhood. You have the same story for school as my hubby. His father turned out to be the principal though not his mom.

I seriously read the whole thing hoping you would reveal what you got arrested for. But I learned a lot of interesting things about you in the mean time.

I read the whole thing! I'm impressed that you remember so many of your Halloween costumes--I only remember a couple. I think I'm going to post tomorrow about my childhood Halloweens vs. now.

I completely agree with Stephanie...you guys should check out high school performances. We have taken the girls to a few around here...and they have been really fun. And cheap!

I must know what you were arrested for. And I need to hear the story about girls gone wild.

Loved me some Almonzo. And Jake.

This was sooo good. I have a list of thirty something things about me. I got bored with it...

Ok God has Blessed me and I made it through the whole. entire. list. There were several chuckles, some gasps, and some oh geez lizzy's thrown in the mix but I made it.

I want to know all about #'s
42,111,and 119.

I also would like a performance of #62.

I do #'s 137, 138 and definately 139.

116 is strange it makes me hot just thinking about it. (that sod did not come out right but I'm leaving it for your laughing pleasure.

Have I told you how much I adore and love you lately. Your are the best!

I wonder if your giraffe and gary's hampster know each other.

I liked your whole list. I had forgotten about the blow-up Barbie furniture. What on earth was that about? And I also love the old Little People. I thought Manly on Little House was "IT" too, but I also cried to go see Ralph Macchio in The Karate Kid. What does that say about my taste? :)

I read the whole thing! I'm convinced if welived closer to each other we would be best friends...you make me laugh! :) I was born in 1972 too!

You've talked to the devil. You've been arrested.

You realize my curiosity has been piqued. Any further details?

I love the rock that you stuck your tongue out at. Sounds like what a kid would do. And kid-like grown ups too!

Oh and the smell thing... brown paper bags make me think of my grandmother. She would use them to make quilt patterns with.

Tracy P. said...

Oh my gosh girl. How DO you do it? I was all, uh huh, uh huh, yeah I remember those, and me too! But I could never have come up with any of it myself!

Rhea said...

I'm sorry, I couldn't read it all, but I saw that your pre-school smells the same and that you have curly hair again and that you like a bunch of guys and that you'd been arrested. I need more on the arrest story, please!

Shannon said...

I made it through the whole thing!

You've got a LOT of things here you should expand on... being arrested, your one "girls gone wild" moment...

;)

Holy Cow, 4 hours?! I read it all. Great list. I love how you just slipped "I have been arrested" in there and then kept right on going. lol

#52. Said by my Gabe on a daily basis. As in, "Gabe, do you want some eggs for breakfast?", in which he answers "NO, I CAN'T LIKE EGGS!". He also told me he couldn't like the Hot Wheels birthday cake it took me hours to create. To which I replied, "Oh, yes you can like it, and you will!"

#153, taken out of context, takes on a whole different meaning.

Spending four hours on a blog post = an acute need for intervention and a stat meeting of bloggers anonymous. You know that, right?

Gina said...

I really want to know what you were arrested for....

Amy said...

I read them all, and I too am dying to know what you got arrested for. And you were not proposed to...me either, not really, and we've been married, how sad.

Ronnica said...

And I thought 100 was a lot...and you did it in one sitting???

The "Jane" thing is funny! Maybe he was hoping that your mom would be so overtaken by the flowers that she'd cave in!

Ditto on the arrest...

And giraffes? Hehe!

Mariah said...

You were arrested? COOL! I need details please. I didn't read it all, because I have to pee :)

Sydney said...

Would love to know the arrest story.

Trish said...

First of all, you my friend are exactly 364 days older than ME! And I LOVe our birthstone too!

Now please provide more information on #'s 42 and 119.

And as for #128......WHY NOT?

That was a great list and I read EVERY word.

Swirl Girl said...

I read the whole thing and I totally could write something next to about 92% of your 164 things that would indicate that we are so much alike or complete opposites. Maybe I just will.

Angie's Spot said...

I'm so glad you caved about coming to lunch yesterday!

And I agree that Vicki needs to go home. She IS evil.

I totally crushed on Gilbert from AOGG too!

I had a pretty serious unicorn phase too in jr high. I'm still convinced that they exist SOMEWHERE out there.

And I think we need to get tattoos on our next outing. That can be one of our slumber party activities. I've been dying to get one for years.
