Little Lizzy

I was going through some stuff today and found these... thought you'd like to see me when I was little bit.... I'm not sure of the ages on all of them, but the first two are labeled with Sept 72, so I was 7 months old then.

Notice the avocado green tub? The sink and toilet were the same color :)

I'm guessing that toy string across your playpen thing wouldn't fly by the safety patrol these days. It's a miracle I'm still here.

Mmmm. nothing says the '70's like Black Plether Recliners!

Awwww... so cute - and check out that multi-colored shag carpet.
Our house was KICKIN' IT 70's STYLE!!

These I'm obviously older... I think the boat picture may have been taken the summer I bit my tongue riding in the boat.

Look.... a plaid of sorts....

You were adorable!

I am loving the 70's stylin'! We, too, had that carpet, except ours was green, orange and yellow...puke colors, I always said!

If I can find a photo of our plaid couch, I'll post it just for you!

Hehehehe, when we first moved into our house in Virginia (when I was a kid) our entire kitchen was a yellow floor with avacoda green appliances and sink. It was hideous!

In the last picture you look like Cindy Brady hehe, too cute!!

Oh I'm loving these! They bring back memories of all of the shags and earth tone appliances in my grandparents' home! We had brown shag carpet. I know, you're jealous!

It is funny to see things like the string of toys. Remember riding on the floor board of the car? Or better yet, lying in the back window?

I am retroactively very jealous that you had such stylin' life preservers in your childhood. I am mere months older than you and I only had boring, plain, bright orange life preservers for the boat rides of my youth. Look at you rocking the stripey preserver! (Too bad it wasn't plaid..... :D )

I will not comment on the dated home decorating styles in them, however, as I'm presently living in such a house. Well, we've pulled out all the shag carpet but the bathrooms and wallpaper is still very HELLO 1960s! and just ick. Sigh.

Love the pictures!

I loved this post!!!! I love that you posted them! You inspire me to go hunt down some pictures of my childhood from my parents! I do not have any here! I hope you hear about the job soon and you and the ladies are always in my prayers!

That life jacket is pretty rockin' too! So fun to see you tiny. What a cutie you were. BUT....what the heck were our parents thinking with those colors of that day? Ugghhh...

What a cutie patootie! Oh the memories our childhood pictures bring back. Even if they're not our picture. My mom made my bro and I matching zuit suits that were grey plaid. We had some tan pants that matched too and would have looked nice with your red top. I wonder what our kids will think of our styles today when they're all grown up.

I'm laughing at Frizzy's comment because MY MOM made us all matching clothes. Green jump suits. Unfortunately, I am the last of 5 girls. I just couldn't shake that green courderoy nastiness.
You were cute Lizzy- and tha laughing, wide-open smile hasn't changed a bit!

Seriously, what were people thinking in the 70s with those colors and materials.

I just found what I think is my 3rd grade picture. I look like the kid someone forgot to love. It's awful. AWFUL.

AACKKK! You cut your own bangs just like I did! I think I was a little older. When I realized what I had done I cut them all the way down to the scalp to "hide" the evidence. Hilarious! Fun, fun pics!
