Carving Pumpkins.
If I had the money (and anywhere to put them) I would buy 10 of them and carve them all. I LOVE it. I love to be creative and see what I can make my pumpkin become! I don't allow pumpkin patterns in my house - oh no no - must be imaginative!!
This year Essie picked out a white pumpkin. I don't know if all white pumpkins are like this - but this one had "meat" that was at LEAST 3 inches thick - and not that big of a pumpkin. We couldn't manage to get into the top.. we had to give him a colonoscopy in order to get in there and get the gunk out! but in the end it turned out cute - as did Essie's.

Absolutely adorable! Good to know about the white pumpkins though my mom said the pumpkins my brother carved an orange the other day and it was just as you described the white one to be. Maybe it's the weather we had this year or the crop of pumpkins instead of the color?

I love carving pumpkins too. This is the first year of my life that we didn't do it. Totally bummed, but there just weren't enough hours in the day. Yours look great!

So my discovery is that I bought a little "pie pumpkin" to carve myself, and it was as HARD as a ROCK! I designed it, but Lee had to carve it for me. I couldn't believe he didn't break the carving tool. I'm gonna stay away from those now too!
We got four orange and one white pumpkin. The white one was small and smelled funny inside. It was really rather gross in there too...goopy, stringy and nasty. We won't be doing that again soon. Gross.
What!?! No PLAID punkins?? Love these, my dear. And, yes...I plan to wear plaid tomorrow to the polls. When are you getting back into politics?

I love carving pumpkins. I would do 10, too. I can't wait until my daughter is old enough to really do her own, rather than throw the innards around. Yeah. It was messy. But fun.
