T-6 hours 16 minutes

Til Mr. B gets here.

That's all I have to say about that.

I actually don't have much to say about anything.

The Ladies go to their Dad's tomorrow morning.

They come back Tuesday night and my mom flies in Tuesday night.

I love my mom.

She stresses me out.

I got a turkey for Christmas from my boss.

Question - Why do highchairs now have 5 point harnesses?? What are you doing with your high chair that that would be necessary???

so all the people who have regular straps on their high chairs can say "ohh i need to be the best parent and the safest parent" and buy a new high chair. it's all about the money.

YAY!
How excited are you? Is your house Mr. B ready?

Our high chair has a 5 pt. harness. We used it when the baby couldn't sit up 100%. Also, the little boy I watch tried crawling out the chair. Now, he gets strapped in! LOL

5 point harness? Really?

I love a Mr. B countdown. You should get one of the "tickers" to put on top of your blog for that :-)

I am sorry your mom is gonna stress you out. You can always escape to my basement. I'll hide you. And plead ignorance.

We so needed a 5 point harness for Madalyn in the highchair. I cannot tell you how many times she tried to stand up. Or tipped the thing over...

Do you have any big plans for when Mr. B gets there? Has your mother meet Mr. B before? Sorry about the stress.

Could 24 hours go any slower? Don't you wanna be like...GET HERE ALREADY.

Have fun:)

I've wondered that myself about the high chairs. Does my daughter really need to be strapped in that well TO EAT? I mean, maybe some kids flail around, or try to make a jump for it, but most of the ones that I've seen have been pretty okay with just sitting there.

My oldest needed a strong highchair like that. It was hard to keep him still anytime, especially during meals.

I would normally agree with you about the 5 point harness, because that is just the kind of laid back mom I am. Although last week, Summer did crawl out of her high chair and onto the kitchen table before one of the other children came running in accusingly screaming that she was going to fall and die and it would be all our faults.

So many 5 point ain't a bad idea in some cases...

Sounds like you are fixing to have a great weekend.

The 5 point harness is so a parent can put a small baby in there and walk away and not feel bad that the child fell out on his head....like Brittany Spears' kid did.....actually, I have no idea.....I'm just guessing....

I am so happy for you, really. I hope everything is wonderful.

So, reading between the lines, what you are really saying is that you will be walking like a bow legged cowboy at work on Monday?

I'm sure you're too busy with Mr. B to read this. I'm not sure that a typical child needs a 5 point, but it was nice for Addison to have a little extra support before she had the tone she has now. We didn't buy a new chair just to get the 5 point, but it did come in handy. I'm not sure I ever used the seatbelt with Noah after about a month of use.
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!!!!! ;)

I agree-5 pint harness in a chair that doesn't even move. Sometimes I think that this whole safety thing is being taken a little too far. I know that it's important and I am so not discounting important things-but there are some that are ridiculous. It really is a miracle that we lived through our childhood. We drank from the hose and ran around the car like a bunch of monkies. I didn't even wear a bike helmet. Maybe thats what wrong with me!!
I don't know if all McDon alds have eggnogg shakes-but mine do. And they are cheap! A small gives you your fix and one doesn't fill too guilty! SO-the shakes are from McDonalds! WHo knew that they actually had good food!!

We have an antique high chair in our kitchen, which my MIL used to use for visiting grandbabies. Of course, there was no harness, so she used to secure them with a dishtowel!
