Wassa Hoppenin Hot Stuff?

First.. I'm so sad about John Hughes... no, he didn't ever give us a Citizen Cane, but I think he's responsible for 7 out of my top 10 movies ever. If ONLY he'd done Space Camp.

Second... we have SMALL glimmers of hope around here. I don't have a job but I DID find a place to live. It's not big, but it's not forever either so that's okay. The rent is cheap and that's the most important part. So I can get the girls registered for school and THAT is a good thing.

Still looking for a job.

Still VERY greatful for wonderful friends like Kat and her mom. Wow... I'm so blessed.

I think that's all the news that's fit to print...

I am thinking that I need to move 16 Candles to number one in my netflix queue. Do you think I could count that as school one day this week? :-)

I can't even imagine how my teen years would have been without John Hughes!!

Glad there is a glimmer of sunshine in your world.

And whatever happened to the guy who played Jake Ryan? He was gorgeous and just fizzled out. I think he was in a movie with Wynona Ryder and Cher, but he really kinda went unnoticed.
I had never seen a picture of John Hughes until he died. The name meant a lot, but the face, didn't know him.
Glad to hear you've secured shelter. It's a step in the right direction for sure!!! God is good and He will provide.

Hopefully all the pieces will fall into place sooner rather than later! Sounds like you are definitely making progress, which is good.

BTW, I'm really sad about John Hughes too!

Glad to hear you got a place so you can register the girls for school. It will be good for them to start at the beginning of the school year instead of coming in later.

Hi Lizzie! Remember me? I know, I know, I'm a slacker! I've been reading though and sending well wishes your way. Everything will work out (I keep telling myself that too). Hang in there and keep your sense of humor.

Hugs,

Rene
