Just for the Record

It's not easy to end a marriage.

I keep reading all these places on the internet where people talk about how "easy" it is to end a marriage and how it's much harder to stay.

Um... let's all just agree to say that until you've walked in someone else's shoes, you just don't know.

It ISN'T easy.

Sometimes.... it's just necessary.

"Easy to end a marriage." Wow...Using the word easy in that sentence makes it a pretty sad statement.

P.S. You have been through a nightmare and I know that having someone say that to you must be incredibly hurtful. I am sorry.

I'm familiar with it just being necessary to end a marriage....and "easy" is not a word that I would ever use to describe that.

HMMM I am 41 and one marriage ended and it was so so so not easy. Necessary..YES...easy NO WAY. Sometimes it is a life or death necessary

You want to talk about something that is even harder...the ending of the second marriage.

Seriously? Worst thing I ever had to do! Ever!

You know what's really HARD? To do the RIGHT thing, whatever that may be. Some people stay in a crapass marriage because it IS the easy thing to do...easier than having the guts to stand up for yourself and say I'm worth more than the abuse you heap on me.

I cannot speak from experience; however, I cannot imagine any circumstance in which it WOULD be "easy" to end a marriage. Necessary, safe, best, healthy...yes; easy...no.

(((((hugs)))))

Amen...anyone who says that must not have been through it.

I can't even imagine who would describe it as "easy". I would describe these people as "unrealistic".

I'm with Brandy. Even though my marriage ended by God's hand I'm sure under any circumstance it is never easy.

Wanted to be sure to stop in and say Hi. Hope you'll come visit the new place.

I will agree with you on that one. If you have never walked in someone else's shoes, don't judge. You just don't know what they have been through.
You are a strong woman and I am so proud of all you have accomplished!

{HUG} I know it's not easy emotionally or actually doing all the paperwork that is required either.. {HUG} Some people truly have no clue.
