Well... first of all... it's raining. It has been... for days now. And according to the forecast it's going to keep raining. All. Week.
On the job front.... still no job. Sigh.
On the house front... well... we had to let the contract go on the house because it has structural issues - the kind where the inspector said "You might want to think about tearing it down and starting all over". Right now it's under contract again for someone else. Near as we can figure they bought it on an auction and we'll see what they do once they see what they've gotten themselves into. So... back to the drawing board. I'm bummed... beyond bummed... but I'm trying to convince myself that this is God's way of keeping us out of a money pit.
It's raining. In case you didn't know.
The girls are doing well. Gert's doing well in school other than doing a little too much extraneous talking. Essie... Essie is doing okay in everything but Math. I don't know what to do about math. She doesn't get it and her teacher isn't helping much. I wish I could afford a math tutor for her, but....
Mr. B is wonderful. As usual. He makes me smile and laugh and makes all the other crap going on seem pretty inconsequential. His dad is doing okay. He's had some set backs here and there but hopefully he's gonna be able to get a good run of rehab in for the next few weeks in Colorado. Eventually this fall he'll be heading to Atlanta to continue his rehab.
I think that's about all the news that's fit to print! Sorry this is boring. My brain is gonna have to start getting creative again!!!!!

I am glad that even though things aren't going well, you can still see the good in your life:-)
Everyone needs a little Mr. B on a rainy day!
Boring is sometimes good. It's when life gets exciting, that sometimes we wish it wasn't. Those rainy days sound like some good reading is going to have to happen over there. :)
Waiting is so frustrating! I hope you get a wonderful job very soon and all this mess finally makes sense.
Oh my... I keep reading about all this rain, and it always makes me think of you and Kat! I hope that things start drying off soon.
Meanwhile, I'm sorry about the house contracts falling through. I'm sure that it's a really good thing that you found out about all the structural junk when you did, but it still kinda sucks :/
I wish I could help you with the job hunt :/ I've always wound up going the temp route.
Anyway... I am glad to hear that the girls are doing so well, and I'm so happy that you have Mr. B. :) Meanwhile, what's Essie learning about in math?
Math sucks don't it? My daughter struggles with it too and I do not understand it either.
Raining here now....uggh!
I'm sorry about all the hard stuff. It is normal to feel disappointed about the house, but thank goodness you didn't find out after you bought it. My husband has done some remodels, and they can be more expensive than starting from scratch.
(((hugs)))
Sounds like the house situation turned out for the best. Trust me. We are in somewhat of a money pit. God has been very faithful through it all, but we have been in our house for 4 years, this October, and we are still working on it. We gutted it and started from scratch. It's been really draining. My hubby is a very good fixer-upper type, so I haven't had to put much of my own blood or sweat into it. I have, however, put plenty of tears into it, which I'm hoping makes up for my lacking in the former.
God is preparing you for something amazing. His timing is always perfect, even when it seems as though He may have forgotten about us. "Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!" (Mark 9:24)
Lizzy, you have been on my mind.
I am praying for you, for a house and a job and the life you want for you and your girls. He is watching out for you...with the house, and Mr. B., and surrounding you with good friends.
It will work out. Being patient sucks, though, doesn't it?
Math is a ugly word in my world. My worst subject ever! Your update was not boring!
Happy Thursday! I just know you will find something soon! Take care of yourself and those Ladies!
I read on FB that you have an interview today so maybe things are looking up. Good luck!
All this rain has been getting me down a bit as well. I have a day trip planned with a friend to Dawsonville today, but we are not sure we can make it with all the rain. Ugh! Hope this upcoming week is better for you! I will keep your job hunt in my prayers. Can't wait to meet you at EE!
You are so fortunate to have such a strong emotional "safety net." Mr. B and the girls must feel like such a Godsend. Good luck with everything...and I hope it stops raining...
